The casino

The historic venue is Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, a palace on the Grand Canal where the composer Richard Wagner spent his final months. The Casinò di Venezia also runs a second, modern venue at Ca’ Noghera near Marco Polo Airport.

Where to stay

Choose a hotel along the Grand Canal or in the Cannaregio district for an easy walk or short boat ride to the casino.

Beyond the tables

Explore St Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge and the quieter canals of Cannaregio, or take a vaporetto out to the islands of Murano and Burano.

Getting there

Fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport, then take a water bus or water taxi into the city. A water shuttle connects Piazzale Roma with the casino’s canal entrance.

Good to know: Guests must be 18+ with photo ID. Smart dress is expected in the table-game rooms. Opening hours, entry fees and dress codes can change, so check the casino’s official website before you travel.
