The casino

The casino occupies the grand Kurhaus, with richly decorated salons inspired by French palaces. It is one of the oldest casinos in Germany, and daytime tours let you see the rooms without playing.

Where to stay

Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, set along the Lichtentaler Allee park, is the town’s best-known luxury stay. The compact centre means most hotels are within walking distance of the Kurhaus.

Beyond the tables

Spend the day between the Caracalla Therme and the historic Friedrichsbad bathhouse, then walk the Lichtentaler Allee or head into the Black Forest hills.

Getting there

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport is close by, and Frankfurt Airport is about two hours by train or car.

Good to know: Expect a smart dress code at the tables in the evening, often including a jacket for men. Guests must be 18+ with photo ID. Opening hours, entry fees and dress codes can change, so check the casino’s official website before you travel.
